Description

Here is my revamped profile for Odell Bagley, AKA Sailor Spica.
Her transformation phrase has been changed, to match the series better.

CIVILIAN FORM
First Name: Odell
Last Name: Bagley
Gender: Female
Race/Species: Mirrian
Info/Description: Mirrians are mostly humanoid, but have feline eyes and ears, which give them better night vision and hearing than humans. However, like cats, they also have an aversion to very high-pitched noises, some of which are almost out of human hearing range. Their voices tend to be lower pitched, in avoidance of this.
History: Odell had an average childhood, and always loved photography, At 19, she became a freelance photographer for the local paper. A little later that year, she was wandering around a marsh outside the seaside city of Salvia, taking a shortcut to an old amusement park for a photoshoot, when she lost her footing and slipped in. It was at this point that while she could swim a bit, it wouldn’t help her get her grip back on the mossy stones that made up the ‘path’. As she tried to keep her head above the water, the water level started to rise, thanks to the tide. A current was starting to pull her under, and as she tried to resurface, the Amulet of Spica materialized in front of her. Grabbing it, she transformed for the first time. Vines reached down from the trees and lifted her above the water. Since then, she hasn’t been able to transform or use her attacks without speaking the invocation phrases. (Despite trying in almost every fight she’s been in.)

After a hilariously bad showing during the second annual SMOCT, she returned home with a decent folder of pictures for the Salvia Daily. In her absence, the Nepetan government had started an investigation into finding the rumored Senshi, who, from their perspective, had disappeared into thin air. Odell’s boss, Dwayne Richards, was questioned regarding his frequent coverage of the exploits of Sailor Spica. Once Odell returned, bearing pictures of numerous Senshi, Dwayne mentioned the search to her, still not knowing that Odell was Spica. For a few weeks, Odell nervously fought the occasional monster, and eventually, as the search for Spica’s identity grew in intensity, decided to turn herself in, and face the consequences of being a vigilante.

To her surprise, the government took it rather well, asking her to train in politics to eventually become a queen regnant, or at the very least a princess, as the planet’s star seed, the Mirracus Crystal, had not yet awoken as a Senshi. When Sailor Mirracus finally comes into power, Odell hopes to move to an advisory role.

Of course, Odell is not happy about having to become a political figure. She has never really liked politics, and one of her least favorite assignments to receive during her time as a photographer was whenever she had to attend social events for the Salvia Daily, to get photos of the Talking Heads—I mean, politicians and socialites. However, after seeing the roles that many participants at the previous SMOCT took on, she feels that training for a (possibly) temporary position may help her in the future.

Nepeta is currently one region of several represented in a parliamentary government, who cede authority when a planetary Senshi rises to power, or, in this case, a star-guardian Senshi, Sailor Spica.
Age: 21
Birthday: October 17th, Earth Standard Time
Alignment: good
Eye Color: light green
Skin Tone/Shade: a light tan
Height: 5 foot 1 inch
Occupation: Former photographer for the Salvia Daily, the primary newspaper for the capital of the nation of Nepeta, the largest region on Mirracus.
Currently training under the Nepetan delegation of the Mirrian parliament.
Personality: Odell is stubborn, and while she will hear the advice of others, is as likely as not to ignore it in favor of what she feels is the right way to do things. She also used to wander aimlessly, in order to find photo opportunities that don’t involve her job. She’s no longer really allowed to roam, being in training for power.
Likes: older architecture, photography, proving herself right.
Dislikes: Politics, getting all dolled up
Hobby/Hobbies: exploring the outskirts of the city in her free time, and taking photos of old buildings, which to her are much more beautiful than shiny metal and glass buildings.

SENSHI FORM
Name: Sailor Spica
Gender: female
Alignment: good
Home Planet: Mirracus, in the Spica system. (located in the Earth constellation Virgo)
Racial Advantages: excellent night vision and hearing (when compared to humans)
Transformation Item: A green pendant in the form of a two-lobed leaf with a stem, the symbol for Spica.
Transformation Phrase: Spica Stellar Power, MAKE UP! (Her transformation phrase changed when she was recognized as a senshi on Mirracus. She is still a first level senshi.)
Transformation Sequence Description:M A light green light pulses around her, hiding her from view. Her Senshi uniform materializes around her, and the green glow erupts into purple sparkles. Her pendant becomes her center brooch.
Guardian Of: the star Spica.
Abilities: Slightly better balance, better strength and an increased foot speed from her civilian form
Attacks:
1: Vine Burst Restriction:</u> This attack sprouts thorny vines from the ground to ensnare her opponent, immobilizing for the time she can focus on keeping the vines grown. This attack is less reliable when she is facing a group, as it can only bind a single opponent. Fortunately, she usually only has to face one target at a time, but when she has to fight two or more, her concentration is more scattered. It causes damage to the foe when they struggle against the vines, thanks to the thorns. Being magical in nature, the thorns also are her first ‘finishing’ attack against summoned monsters and other constructs, once the enemy has been weakened.
2. Vine Burst Unleash:</u> Similarly to Restriction, Unleash summons vines from below, but these are more pliable than the thorns of Restriction. The vines grab onto the target, and throw him/her/it into whatever solid object (Aside from Spica and USUALLY civilians) is nearby. Spica usually uses this attack more when she’s up against a group, because the hurled ‘victim’ is often thrown into it’s allies, knocking down two or more foes with one attack.
3. Cataria Cloud:</u> a cloud of sweet, minty-scented vapor appears in the surrounding area. Enemies within the cloud become disoriented and confused. The vapor tends to make opponents dazed, and sometimes they will attack each other. (Cataria is part of the scientific name for Catnip, as is Nepeta.)
4. Shield Weave:</u> once again, Spica summons vines from the ground. This time, the vines form a woven dome around the target of her choice, capturing them underneath. The dome can cover several enemies, but the larger it is, it takes more energy and time to construct.
5. Spican Grain Flare:</u> With her Grain Flare technique, Spica raises one arm over her head, glowing with energy. She then swipes it down diagonally in front of her, and a series of four lights dart out towards the enemy as her arm comes down.
Weakness: When she has to fight fire-based enemies, her first few attacks are only useful for a short time, due to being plant-based. She often resorts to throwing things at them until she’s weakened them enough to finish them off with a Vine Burst Restriction.
Personality: Spica’s personality doesn’t change from when she is Odell. She will not give up a fight, even if she’s getting beaten really badly. Not having a team means she has to fight alone, and that’s what she’s gotten used to.

If you spot any consistency errors, by all means, let me know!
